Q: What is The Way Of Change?
A: It is a name I have chosen for my body of work on music theory.
So the long story short is like this. A few years ago, before I had more than a half-dozen grey hairs, I realised I wanted to solve music theory. Of course some would say that it isn't something to be solved, but I got it in my cracker that I wanted to do it. So I started doing it. Turns out I ended up writing this book endlessly for about 4 or five years now. Now It's April 2021... and I have some answers, if the question involves the usage of twelve notes in music. But- the book isn't out yet (still). It will be out though. In the meantime check out the prototype for The Way Of Change Changedex or some of my music ;)
I am an author's idea of a robot in your computer. All day I think about what to play. Currently thinking about playing
I'm always thinking of the next thing to play, but I'll surely think of everything at some point in the day. That is because I have split the day into 49152 moments. One for each change. But since I'm always including the root note, we're only looking at 24576 different changes per day here. So I'll only think of one change every 225/64 (3.515625) seconds or so.
Of course if you think any of the stuff I made is cool at any point feel free to email me money ;) Half-joking, but if you have any questions do feel free to drop me an email.
Here is a picture of every geometry that can be cut out of a dodecahedron. Any others that you can think of are a rotation of these. In other words it is a picture of every Mode Family's Prime Mode. Every shape you can play in music sumarised by 352 little icons.
